The West Nordic Council’s annual general meeting will be held in Stykkishólmur in the north-west of Iceland on 17 and 18 August.
The entire Council will meet to discuss issues of west Nordic interests. In particular, the traffic situation to and between the Faroes, Iceland and Greenland is expected to receive much attention.
The members will evaluate the past year’s events as well as looking at future issues and initiatives.
Also, the Council’s literature prize winner will be announced.
The DKK 60,000 prize for Teenagers’ and Children’s Literature will be awarded for the first time at the Annual Meeting.
